Duncan Stutterheim, founder of ID&T and creator of some of the world’s biggest electronic festivals has announced that he is quitting the company he founded.

One of EDM’s biggest entrepreneurs, Stutterheim announced his decision to the dutch newspaper, Volkskrant. The news comes soon after SFX’s recent acquisition of ID&T, creators of Tomorrowland, Tomorrowworld and Sensation, among others.

The 43 year old says he will be taking a year off to enjoy himself and decide on his future thereon. Filled with mixed feeling, here is what Duncan had to say in the news article,

“For example Martin Garrix’ music, I can appreciate it, but I’m not dancing to it. It also has something to do with my age.”

This year’s Sensation Amsterdam will be Duncan’s final show and the company will need to seek for a quick replacement as the festival season dawns upon them.
