Another major label has been born!
Warner Bros recently defined its stake in the growing EDM scene by signing Grammy nominated producer and DJ, Kaskade! Though financial terms have not been disclosed, the deal includes two full albums with the label.
Kaskade had the following thoughts:
“I was always cautious to make the move from independent to major. I feel like the majors have such an agenda…and although I’m a producer, I’m an artist first. I don’t need the factory behind me. I just need help getting my music heard. When I met with Cameron Strang (Warner Bros. CEO) and shared my vision with him, I felt like, okay, this guy gets it.”
With the increasingly saturated and competitive electronic scene, Kaskade’s signing is a big move on Warner Music‘s part as well.
