After a busy 2014 remixing the likes of Tube & Berger, MK and Green Velvet, and ending a hugely successful year with his retrospective collection ‘City Life’, WEISS is back.
To welcome in 2015 in true WEISS style, Toolroom Records present his ‘Our Love EP’. This is what Weiss had to say on it.
“How do I produce a track? Well before I even begin, it starts with an idea. It could be a hint of melody, an idea for a bassline – anything I hear in my head and want to explore in the studio. Simplicity is key for me the best, most memorable music is always simple. You pose a question, and you answer it. The ultimate aim for me is to be true to myself and not just do what everyone else is doing. I want people to recognise my sound in a club and think – ‘that is definitely a Weiss record’. Music has always been a big part of my life, I’ve listened to all styles of music which I try to distil and incorporate into the genre I love house music.”
