Following their chart-topping collaboration, “Thump Bumper” (Dirtybird), two of the most formidable names in house and techno are joining forces once again – Sacha Robotti and Kevin Knapp are back with a new EP “Stay With It” on UK’s Lost Records, due out next month.
With the four-track “Stay With It” EP, Sacha Robotti and Kevin Knapp’s mission is clear: to command and destroy the main room. The title track, “Stay WIth It”, is a groovy minimal construction with rolling Romanian techno vibes. “The Hip” is a tech-house heater with a full-bodied low-end and a driving groove. Dale Howard adds some playful punch and funk to his rework of “The Hip”, and to round off the EP, Toucán riffs on the sexy, rollicking beat of the original, “Stay With It”, building infectiously for a truly dynamic rework. Overall this EP could be a playbook for how to appear effortlessly cool while commanding the dancefloor – trust, we’re taking notes.
