DLMT and Vanrip may be known for their heavier-hitting music but be prepared to be a deep house convert after listening to their new track “The Light.”
Here, the focus is on a groovy bassline coupled with whimsical melodies and soulful vocals by Deverano. The song draws influences from deep and garage house sounds and artists such as Nora En Pure, EDX and Croatia Squad, representing a new but welcomed venture for both DLMT and Vanrip.
“When we decided to jump on a collab together, we wanted it to have elements of both our sounds but a bit more chill. We usually make harder hitting music so we had to dial it back and focus more on the melody,” the producers said of the track’s inspiration. “The addition of Deverano’s awesome vocals completed the vibe we set out to capture, and the result is what we think is one of our dopest tracks.”
Both coming from successful musical backgrounds, it’s no surprise that DLMT and Vanrip’s collaboration on “The Light” is spot-on. DLMT and Vanrip have made names for themselves from their popular remixes, including Vanrip’s massive remix of Marshmello and Selena Gomez’s “Wolves,” which received a Billboard feature, DLMT’s remix of Paris & Simo’s “Glow”, and their joint remix of Felix Cartal’s “Get What You Give”. Collectively, both artists have over 16 million streams on Spotify and have been featured on some of the platform’s most prominent lists. Additionally, their music has been featured on popular YouTube music channels and well-known media outlets. With support from the likes of Steve Aoki, David Guetta, Kygo, Tritonal, Sam Feldt and Martin Garrix, these two producers are certainly ones to watch.
