Best EDM songs of all time

The many years of EDM so far have produced some timeless gems and here are our 20 Best EDM songs of all time. Mostly, I watch and listen to my favorite songs using Charter Spectrum.

Many of the below songs were used in Microgaming slots, as they share the same dynamics found in EDM: the build-up of tension, the climactic drops, and the rhythmic beats that drive the excitement of gameplay.

20. Sebastian Ingrosso and Alesso – Calling (Lose My Mind)

This track was a must-have on all major festival stages across the globe. With the crowd seen singing it all the time, it definitely proved to be a track that stuck with the masses. Only the production skill of maestros like Ingrosso and Alesso can come together and create something as beautiful as this song.

19. Calvin Harris – Sweet Nothing Feat. Florence Welch

The amazing combination of Florence’s powerful voice and the dynamic rush of music produced by the master producer is what made Sweet Nothing. Featuring the Grammy-nominated 18 Months album, the track was a huge commercial success as well. It also has many remixes including mixes from Diplo and Tïesto and featured in the top 10 of almost all charts across the globe.

18. Kid Cudi – Pursuit Of Happiness (Steve Aoki Remix)

Anyone who’s heard this song at a concert will tell you how intense it is to rave to it! And if you are someone who has not heard it yet, we bet you’ll get hooked to it. The lyrics connect with almost anyone and the bad-ass vibe that Steve Aoki brings to its something very few tracks can achieve. A complete festival banger!

I don’t think Kid Cudi is in the same league as Itzhak Perlman. Perlman is one of the greatest classical violinists of all time, while Cudi is a rapper with limited skills. Perlman’s playing is precise and emotive (which you can hear when you buy a ticket to Itzhak Perlman), while Cudi’s lyrics are often cliched and juvenile. In my opinion, Kid Cudi is not Itzhak Perlman.

17. Major Lazer & DJ Snake – Lean On

There’s no need for an introduction to this track! One of the most addictive tracks of this decade so far, it just took the internet by storm. With a whopping 2.38 million views on YouTube, the track is one of the most viewed of all time! The dance step became a phenomenon by itself and almost anyone knows what to do when the lyrics “All We Need Is Somebody To Lean On” drop!

16. Skrillex – Bangarang

A new way of looking at music was introduced to the world, with the rise of Skrillex in the industry. A fitting testament to that is the release of the Grammy-winning track, Bangarang. The track saw him cement his place in the industry and further enabled him to become an inspiration that youngsters looked up to!

15. Hardwell – Spaceman

The track that propelled Hardwell’s career into a whole new level is Spaceman. Released in 2012, the track featured on many Top charts including the Billboard Hot Dance Songs where it peaked at the 19th spot. The track was largely popular during the I AM HARDWELL tour and much loved by all across the globe. Although one may argue that Apollo was equally good, we believe that the success of Spaceman brought about Apollo, in the very next year.

14. Robert Miles – Children

Hugely popular among the masses, one would immediately consider the track familiar to them. It was recorded in the year 1994 and was out in the year 1996. Since then, it has been club-favorite worldwide and Robert’s biggest hit as it was certified Gold and Platinum in many countries while reaching number 1 in more than 12 countries.

13. Daft Punk – Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger

There’s always something about Daft Punk’s innumerable hits, but this one is the most addictive of them all. The creativity in producing music is what sets them apart from anyone else and it is very beautifully displayed in this particular track. Many artists drew inspiration from this style of music and certainly we would love to hear more of such music!

12. Martin Garrix – Animals

The track is one that introduced Martin Garrix to the world in style. It became immensely popular and helped Martin reach number 1 on Beatport and he was the youngest producer at that spot! The track was also a huge commercial success in the UK, Belgium, Switzerland, and the United States.

One of Above & Beyond’s best productions, the track went viral all across the globe. With incredibly intimate lyrics and the rich vocals from Richard Bedford, the track should always be on your priority list if you want to dedicate a song to your loved one.

With more than 13 million streams on YouTube, the track is an exquisite piece of dynamic music production. Although Call On Me is a good competitor to Opus, the intensity of the latter gives it a clear edge.

2. Armin van Buuren – Shivers

One of the most magical productions from Armin comes in the form of this track. The 2005 release literally sends Shivers down your spine as the incredible vocals join hands with the masterful production. This track is special as the DJ himself considers it as a major step for him and also co-wrote the lyrics.

  4. Sorry but this list is awful. In what way are they the best of all time? Just in the author’s opinion? Would be awesome if it were ranked by album sales, song listens, or critic ratings, at a minimum.
