Teminite

Samuel Norris, known by his performer name Teminite, is a 21-year-old British bass music composer, record producer, and DJ currently living in Leeds, United Kingdom. Teminite is actively releasing music since 2013.

Teminite started as 16-year-old bedroom producer in his hometown Barnstaple, a village with about 30’000 habitants in South West England. His first track published was the melodic drum and bass song “Ahead” released in February 2013. After a period of experiments in 2014, his remix for Barely Alive “Welcome to the Real World feat. Diamond Eyes” was released on Disciples first compilation: ”Disciple 01: Purgatory (The Exclusives)” along with remixes from Virtual Riot and Getter. Later that year, he won the remix contest of Pegboard Nerds for “Hero “and was chosen to release his reinterpretation of the song on Monstercat. In the same summer, Teminite released the Elevate EP which according to Matthew Meadow from youredm.com: “surprised …. with its quality and variety of sounds”. In October his remix “The Last One Alive” for US metal band Demon Hunter was released on their album “Extremist: Digital deluxe edition bonus tracks”. In the same month, Teminite and Panda Eyes released their collaboration “Highscore” that turned into a huge milestone for both careers. The song was quickly adapted by the YouTube and Soundcloud community and lead with over 50 million streams combined to a first greater success. In April 2015, Teminite & PsoGnar released “Senses Overload” followed by his solo debut LP “Inception” in 2016 that includes successful and outstanding songs as “Earthquake” or “Beastmode”. (Later to be included in successful Survival-Shooter “Last Day on Earth: Survival). Following March 2017, he collaborated with Taiwan based producer Starr Chen for “Fireflies” and was featured on Looptopia’s official festival soundtrack. In August 2017, he released an extended play with PsoGnar called “Rally the Troops”. The first single of it called “Lion’s Den” was picked by Dancing Astronaut calling it an “auditory treat”. The EP was followed by a collaboration called “The Big Crunch” included on Chime’s debut on Firepower. Also included on that EP was the song “Wait From Me” from which his remix, was heavily featured by Excision on tour.

Early 2018 Teminite announced to be working on a new full-length LP called “Uprising”. He shared a track list and outer space trailer on his socials, showing 10 originals, including features with Evilwave, Said, Chime, PsoGnar, Georgia Denham and Jonah Hitchens. The album was set to be released in two phases between May and December 2018. The first singles “Party Time” and “Uprising” kicked off with great response. Throughout the first half of 2018 Teminite released a line of additional tunes as “State Of Mind” or “Rattlesnake” defining the new chapter of the Teminite sound experience. EDMSauce wrote: “ I would love to see this one live going off at a festival, or even a largely packed show, due to just how freakin’ hard it goes (i’m sure the crowd would lose their shit!)“ “Rattlesnake” was premiered live by Black Tiger Sex Machine in July 2018 at Bassrush in Los Angeles. Last Summer he released a live performance of his song “State of Mind”, featured on a article on yourEDM that said: “The video feels very familiar, as it certainly mimics elements of Haywyre’s numerous performance videos from years past. However, the “State of Mind” video feels equally – if not, even more – dynamic and even features a soulful alto sax solo.” In September 2018 Teminite kicked off the second chapter releasing “Make Me” and will further surprise until the end of this year.
