Switzerland’s most streamed artist, EDX, comes out with his fourth release of the year, Sillage, a masterfully crafted track.
An ID that became quite popular after it featured in the climax of EDX’s Tomorrowland set earlier this year, it’s now out on Spinnin’ Deep.
Featuring EDX’s signature soundscapes, the track instantly holds a grip on the listener. The dreamy synths and subtle percussion works which sound tribal make the track a totally groovy number. The unfailing quality of production from him has been displayed here as the track dramatically closes with soulful piano chords.
One of the most dedicated, hard-working characters in the industry, Swiss-Italian DJ, producer and label head, EDX, has spent the past twenty-five years at the forefront of electronic music. Founder of the internationally renowned record company Sirup Music in 2002, which has released hits from the likes of Avicii, Armin van Buuren, Steve Angello, Tiësto, and more — and in joint-venture with Enormous Tunes his ‘Helvetic Nerds’ crew of Nora En Pure, Daniel Portman, Croatia Squad, and Sons of Maria — Maurizio’s own vast catalog of chart-topping original productions and remixes has amassed hundreds of millions of streams and an adoring international fan-base in the process.
After a bustling summer, the Sirup Music Label boss continues to treat his fans to music that touches one and all. Sillage is a testament of just that! Celebrating 25 years of being a top-name in the industry, this record comes after the earlier releases this year in Jaded, Anthem, and his remix for Janelle Monae’s Make Me Feel. All the three made it to the top of the official Beatport charts in within a few days of release.
With over 150 million plays to his name in the past year alone, Maurizio Colella is clearly a producer still at the very top of his game. Traveling across multiple continents on a weekly basis, showcasing his unique brand of incredible, summery house music to some of the most prestigious dance floors the world over, the Swiss-Italian powerhouse is clearly showing no signs of applying the breaks whatsoever.
With an incredible 2018 so far that saw him play multiple times at Ushuaia and Hï, the producer is set for the release of more amazing music over the next few months, in order to make this year one of the most successful ones yet.
