Megyn Kelly Criticizes Blake Lively Over Leaked Video Allegations Against Justin Baldoni
The video, released by Baldoni’s legal team, shows the pair filming a montage sequence for their movie It Ends With Us. In response, Lively accused Baldoni of inappropriate behavior during the shoot, leading to a legal battle that has only grown messier over time.
Kelly Calls Out Lively’s Claims
On her show, Kelly didn’t hold back, saying, “Time and time again, she accuses him of doing something, which then when you hear the full context, is an absolute nothing burger!” Kelly went on to call Lively’s allegations “absurd,” questioning the validity of her claims. “This person is not an honest broker. I believe her less than ever,” she added.
The leaked video, shared by Baldoni’s lawyer Bryan Freedman, shows the actors engaged in a “slow dance scene,” holding hands and nuzzling each other for what appears to be an in-character moment. Lively alleges Baldoni crossed boundaries by making suggestive comments during the scene, but Kelly pointed out that the footage doesn’t support those claims.
Legal Battles Heat Up
Lively filed a $250 million lawsuit against Baldoni, accusing him of orchestrating a smear campaign. Baldoni countered with a $400 million defamation suit against Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds. The feud has since involved leaked emails, legal filings, and public statements, dragging both stars through a media frenzy.
Kelly argued that Lively’s reputation isn’t tarnished by Baldoni but by her own actions. “She turned out to be not a very nice person,” Kelly said bluntly.
What the Video Shows
The video, which has fueled much of the controversy, captures the actors in a lighthearted exchange on set. They can be heard joking about each other’s spouses and teasing one another. Kelly noted, “Obviously, Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni aren’t choosing to hold hands and nuzzle each other in front of this room of people. It’s all in good fun.”
Kelly dismissed the notion that Baldoni’s actions were inappropriate, emphasizing that the pair remained in character throughout the scene. “She [Lively] laughs and says, ‘Oh, did you get beard on me?’ She doesn’t say, ‘Oh my god, you nuzzled me and said that I smell good!’”
The feud has become a flashpoint for debates around professional boundaries, the #MeToo movement, and media narratives. As Lively and Baldoni’s legal teams continue to spar, the public remains divided on who to believe.
