Amber Heard’s family just grew by two – The 39-year-old actress, already mom to her 4-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige, has now welcomed twins, making her a proud mother of three.
A representative for Heard confirmed the exciting news, sharing that the star is “delighted” to complete her family. “Mama and babies are enjoying every minute. And Oonagh is happily running the show,” the rep told PEOPLE.
The announcement comes after an exclusive report in December 2024, where it was revealed that Heard was expecting again. At the time, her rep expressed how thrilled both Heard and Oonagh were about the new additions to the family. Now, with twins in tow, Heard is embracing the joys of motherhood even more.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on May 11, Amber shared the names of her newborns: daughter Agnes and son Ocean. “This year I am elated beyond words to celebrate the completion of the family I’ve strived to build for years,” she wrote, expressing her overwhelming joy. Fans were quick to flood her comments with well-wishes and congratulations, as the actress shared a beautiful snapshot of her growing family.
Heard’s journey to motherhood has been a personal one. When she revealed the birth of her first child, Oonagh, back in 2021, the actress shared that she had made the decision to have a child on her own terms, explaining how important it was for women to rethink the traditional notions around family. “I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” she wrote at the time.
After her highly publicized legal battles with ex-husband Johnny Depp ended in 2022, Heard left the spotlight and relocated to Madrid, Spain, to focus on her family life. In a 2022 interview with NBC News’ Savannah Guthrie, she spoke about how much she was looking forward to being a full-time mom, away from the stress of courtroom drama. “I get to be a mom, like, full time, you know? Where I’m not having to juggle calls with lawyers,” she said.
In 2023, director Conor Allyn, who worked with Heard on the film In the Fire, shared that she was “living her best life” in Spain with Oonagh. Allyn praised Heard’s dedication to her daughter, saying she was “really good about making the time” for Oonagh, balancing motherhood with her personal life.
