Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are raising eyebrows, and maybe hearts, after sharing a flirty Easter photo that has fans thinking there’s a new celeb romance brewing.
The buzz started on April 20 when Hurley, 59, posted a pic of the two getting cozy during an Easter farm visit. In the snap, Billy Ray, 63, leans in and kisses her on the cheek while they pose against a white picket fence. Hurley simply captioned the post, “Happy Easter ♥️.”
The country singer rocked green bunny ears with his denim shirt and bold pants, while Hurley looked ready for the farm life in flannel, jeans, and a straw hat. And it wasn’t just fans losing it, Hurley’s son Damian even dropped a heart emoji and party face in the comments.
So is it official? Not quite. While Hurley’s rep didn’t respond, and Billy Ray’s camp gave the usual “no comment,” there are other clues pointing to something more than friendship. On April 9, Hurley posted a bikini photo from the Maldives using Billy Ray’s song “She’s Not Cryin’ Anymore” as the audio, and she tagged him. Subtle? Not really.
This rumored romance comes after a whirlwind couple of years for both stars. Billy Ray divorced his wife of 28 years, Tish Cyrus, in April 2022. After that, he got engaged to and married Australian singer Firerose in 2023, but the marriage ended after just seven months. He quietly filed for divorce in May 2024.
Hurley, on the other hand, has had a few high-profile relationships herself. She was married to Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2011 and famously dated Hugh Grant for 13 years. Even after their split in 2000, the two have stayed close, with Grant being godfather to her son Damian. She told PEOPLE in 2021 that staying respectful of an ex’s current life is key to keeping things friendly.
Now, with both stars single again, the Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley rumors don’t seem so far-fetched. Whether they’re just friends or something more, they sure know how to get people talking.
