The Blake Lively lawsuit drama with Justin Baldoni is definitely heating up, and it seems like the fallout is beginning to get very personal.
Sources close to the actress say Blake has since come to regret the legal action she took against her It Ends With Us co-star after months of keeping a low profile. The serious sexual harassment claims named in the suit have generated a media frenzy, a $400 million countersuit from Baldoni, and apparent tension now with longtime friends.
Photos surfaced recently of Blake far away from Hollywood-on a remote farm, visibly stressed. Insiders say she’s been seeking peace, “striving for normalcy,” and trying to get as far away from the spotlight as possible. Since the lawsuit was filed, she’s only been spotted at events she was contractually obligated to appear at, like the premiere of Another Simple Favor. Everything else? Radio silence.
But the pressure isn’t only from the media. One of her co-stars, Adam Mondschein, has spoken out publicly to oppose how Lively handled the shooting of a birthing scene in the movie. She claimed it was invasive and humiliating because Mondschein – Baldoni’s close friend – was cast as her OBGYN in such an intimate scene. But Mondschein says Lively never complained during filming and that she wore a full costume, including a hospital gown, shorts, and a prosthetic baby bump. He’s even offered to testify in court and clarified that he was a local hire, not someone flown in under special treatment.
Clearly, the legal drama is taking a lot from Blake. “She feels like her whole life has been flipped upside down. She can’t do anything without it being twisted,” a source close to Blake revealed. Even small things-like not putting her hair up back while on the job at a donut shop-have caused backlash online. The constant criticism reportedly is exhausting her.
Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds is also on the hot seat. Although the couple had managed to keep life as normal as possible for the kids, the lawsuit has thrown everything off kilter. “Ryan was riding high after Deadpool and Blake was thriving too,” said one insider. “Now, it’s like they’re both stuck in damage control mode.”
One of the biggest shocks? Apparently, Taylor Swift-the godmother to their daughters and one of Blake’s closest friends-has distanced herself ever since Baldoni named her in the countersuit. That hit hard. Blake reportedly is working to reconnect with friends affected by the legal drama, hoping to rebuild some of what’s been lost.
The counterclaim filed by Baldoni isn’t going to back down either. His lawyers cited an article in the New York Times, which stated that Blake had leaked false information about a supposed PR sabotage campaign. The suit said she wanted to control the narrative in her favor-knowing full well it was going to be picked up by major outlets.
The trial date is set for March 9, 2026, and this lawsuit is far from over. The teams from both sides seem to be digging their heels deeper, while public opinion appears to sway with every headline.
