According to a Swift insider speaking to People, the friendship has “halted” as Taylor “wants no part of this drama,” though they are not “no longer friends,” just “taking some space.” This distancing reportedly began after Baldoni’s lawyers subpoenaed Taylor as a witness in Blake’s sexual harassment lawsuit on May 8. Taylor’s representatives fired back strongly, stating she was not involved in any aspect of the It Ends With Us film-from casting and creative decisions to scoring or editing-and that she only saw the movie weeks after its public release. They also emphasized she was busy touring globally during 2023 and 2024.
Blake’s team slammed Baldoni for what they call an intimidation tactic, accusing him of bullying and attacking women’s reputations. A spokesperson for Blake’s Betty Buzz brand said the defendants are trying to undermine California’s victims’ rights laws by calling them unconstitutional, exposing the “true colors” of billionaire men who claim to be female allies but act otherwise.
The legal battle is fierce. In December, Blake filed a lawsuit accusing Baldoni of sexual harassment on the set of their 2024 movie. The trial is scheduled for March 2026.
