Blake Lively’s ‘Dragons’ Subpoenaed? Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman Reportedly Pulled Into Lawsuit

The legal mess surrounding It Ends With Us just got a whole lot messier, and way more star-studded. According to reports from the Daily Mail and Page Six, Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman are expected to be subpoenaed this week as part of the ongoing legal war between Blake Lively and her co-star Justin Baldoni.

Yep, you read that right. Taylor Swift, the world’s biggest pop star, and Hugh Jackman, Wolverine himself, might soon be dragged into a court battle that’s already way too dramatic for a movie set. But how did we even get here?

It all started back in December 2024, when Lively sued Baldoni for emotional distress and lost wages, alleging inappropriate behavior and manipulation during production of the film. Baldoni, for his part, fired back the following month with a $400 million countersuit, claiming defamation and extortion. His argument? That Lively tried to weaponize her personal relationships, including with Swift and her husband Ryan Reynolds, to pressure him into creative decisions.

According to Baldoni’s complaint, one of Lively’s “megacelebrity friends” praised a rewritten rooftop scene in the script during a visit to the couple’s NYC penthouse. That friend? He never explicitly names her, but context clues (and now, this subpoena) strongly suggest it was Taylor Swift.

In a now-revealed message from Baldoni, he reportedly texted Lively:

“I really love what you did. It really does help a lot… and I would have felt that way without Ryan or Taylor.”

That text has become a focal point in the case. Baldoni’s legal team alleges the message proves he felt “pressured” by the influence of Lively’s circle, particularly her high-profile pals, to accept her version of the script.

As for Hugh Jackman? His role in this drama is a little murkier. He’s long been close with both Lively and Reynolds (they starred in Deadpool & Wolverine together, after all), and he’s reportedly been present at several gatherings where discussions about the movie took place.

So far, neither Swift nor Jackman has commented publicly, and reps for both have declined requests from Page Six and other outlets. But insiders say subpoenas are imminent, and the stars could be deposed as early as next month.

And it gets juicier, because this isn’t just a professional feud. Sources say the situation has started to take a toll on Swift and Lively’s friendship. One insider told Page Six,

“Taylor can’t help but feel used. She’s been supportive, but this is dragging her into something she didn’t sign up for.”

Still, another source insists things are cooling off behind the scenes. Lively has reportedly issued a “genuine and heartfelt” apology to Swift, and the singer is “ready to move forward” with no hard feelings, at least for now.

What’s next? A court date is already set for March 2026, and if these subpoenas hold, we might see Taylor Swift and Hugh Jackman testifying under oath about what really went down behind the scenes of It Ends With Us.

Stay tuned. This Hollywood drama is just getting started, and it might end up being more compelling than the movie itself.
