Britney Spears has once again deleted her Instagram page, and this time it follows a fiery post targeting two of her former partners.
As of Friday, June 13, 2025, the 43-year-old pop legend’s Instagram – which had over 40 million followers – is no longer accessible. Fans clicking on her profile are now met with the standard message: “Sorry, this page isn’t available.”
This isn’t the first time Britney has disappeared from Instagram, but the timing raises eyebrows. Just days before going dark, she posted a no-holds-barred rant about two men she dated, calling them “complete a**holes” and claiming she preferred their dogs to them.
“I realized I loved their dogs more than them,” she wrote. “I think it’s because their dogs bowed to me every time I entered the room!!!”
Though she didn’t name names, Britney has had three high-profile marriages. She famously married her childhood friend Jason Alexander in 2004 – a union that lasted just 55 hours. Later that same year, she wed Kevin Federline, with whom she shares two sons: Sean, 19, and Jayden, 18. That marriage ended in 2007. Most recently, she married actor and fitness trainer Sam Asghari in 2022, but they split in 2024.
In her post, Britney slammed the unnamed exes for being emotionally absent. “Now the guys were of course cruel humans that never even acknowledged [me] and never held my hand in the car for 6 years!!!” she wrote. “I choose animals over people anyday!!!”
Britney’s message continued with an emotional tone, expressing how disillusioned she feels with people in general. “I’m so turned off by humanity and the way people have literally … I have no words!!!”
Since the end of her conservatorship in 2021 – which was overseen by her family – Instagram had become Britney’s primary outlet for communicating with the public. It’s where she’d share everything from dance videos and vacation pics to deeply personal reflections about her life and mental health.
But this isn’t new behavior. Spears has deactivated her account several times in the past, often without warning. In one instance, she vanished after calling out fans for approaching her in public. Other times, she’s gone quiet after backlash or speculation about her mental state.
Still, each return to Instagram has typically been met with massive attention, and fans are likely waiting to see if this is another short break or a long-term sign-off. Whether this deactivation is permanent or temporary remains to be seen, but it’s clear Britney’s relationship with social media continues to reflect the ups and downs of her personal life.
For now, fans are left in the dark – and the only thing louder than Britney’s silence is the speculation swirling around it.
