Gisele Bündchen is opening up like never before, and it sounds like life after baby number three has brought her a new kind of peace.
In a candid new interview with Vogue France, the 44-year-old model reflected on motherhood, her growing family with boyfriend Joaquim Valente, and what it feels like to be settling into a new routine again. “Now that my little one is sleeping through the night, I’m back in control of my routine,” she said. “As any new mom knows, it’s incredible how much sleep, or lack of it, can change everything!”
Gisele and Joaquim welcomed their baby boy back in February 2025, just a few months after pregnancy rumors were confirmed in October 2024. The couple hasn’t revealed their son’s full name yet, but according to People, his middle name is River. This marks the first child for the couple, who started dating in 2023.
While motherhood is nothing new for Gisele, she shares 15-year-old Benjamin and 12-year-old Vivian with her ex-husband, Tom Brady, it’s clear that having a newborn again has shifted her perspective. Gisele was also stepmom to Tom’s eldest son, Jack, who is now 17, from his relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan. Her divorce from Brady was finalized in October 2022, closing out 13 years of marriage.
In the Vogue interview, Gisele talked about the joy she finds in simply being with her family. “Being with my family, especially when we can do outdoor activities together,” she said, is what brings her the most happiness. When asked to describe her perfect day, she didn’t hesitate: “Spending time with my children is what makes me happiest.”
Gisele also reflected on how motherhood has shaped her over the years. “I feel more comfortable in my own skin and have a clearer understanding of my priorities,” she shared. “I’m grateful for where I am. I feel like I’ve earned it.”
Despite the new baby chaos, Gisele recently made a quiet return to work, and it sounds like even the glam feels refreshing. “It’s nice to see everyone again after this break,” she said. “Getting my hair and makeup done feels like I’m on vacation, with a baby, the nights are so short that I’ve barely brushed my hair in the last few months!”
She may be back in front of the cameras, but it’s clear her heart is firmly rooted at home. Earlier this month, on May 11, Gisele posted a rare update on Instagram to mark Mother’s Day. The post featured a soft, intimate selfie of her cradling her newborn, along with a heartfelt caption: “I’ve been quiet over here but very busy living life … Sometimes, the most beautiful moments aren’t shared, they’re simply lived.”
She also got emotional about missing her own mother, writing, “Today, on Mother’s Day, I especially miss my mom, but my heart is full. Being a mother has been my greatest gift, a journey that humbles me, teaches me, and fills me with gratitude every single day. To all the mothers out there, your love shapes the world in ways words can’t describe. I see you; I honor you. Happy Mother’s Day! Sending so much love your way!”
