Ryan Reynolds also got wrapped up in the legal drama. Lawyers for Baldoni filed an opposition to dismiss Reynolds from the case, even using language like “co-conspirator” and going so far as to cite a quote in which Reynolds spoke of drinking the “blood” of his enemies. Reynolds fired back through his team, citing Baldoni’s case as riddled with holes and devoid of any serious proof of harm.
They also took a shot at Baldoni’s public image, saying, “Unlike Mr. Baldoni, who built his brand pretending to be a man who is ‘confident enough to listen’ to the women in his life, Ryan Reynolds actually is that man.” Reynolds’ reps say the lawsuit is so baseless it could end with Wayfarer Studios paying Ryan’s legal fees.
And it has unsettled Hollywood, while fans of the two celebrities are paying close attention.
