The drama surrounding Jax Taylor isn’t just playing out on screen, it’s now hit the stage too.
The Valley star has officially canceled his entire live podcast tour, In the Mind of a Man, after facing major backlash and being dropped by multiple venues. Jax Taylor’s podcast tour cancellation comes after a rocky promotional rollout and growing criticism of his behavior on the Bravo reality show.
Originally, the Vanderpump Rules alum had big plans to tour the country, performing his podcast in front of live audiences, interacting with fans, and creating buzz. But things quickly unraveled. After launching the tour with a May show at City Winery in Boston, the rest of the dates started falling apart. According to insiders, several venues pulled the plug on Jax’s appearances after receiving heat from the public. Following those decisions, his team ultimately decided to scrap the rest of the tour, citing bad timing and intense scrutiny.
Sources revealed that the Nashville stop at City Winery, which was set for June 3, was canceled last minute without explanation. Other previously confirmed shows, including ones in Austin, Orlando, Tampa, and Houston, were also axed. Wanderlust Wine Co. in Austin stated directly that Jax’s recent behavior didn’t align with their values, and they’d be hiring a different host. Meanwhile, staff at Nashville’s Blueprint Underground Cocktail Club confirmed their decision to cancel the very first tour date, which had been scheduled for April 18.
Jax Taylor’s podcast tour cancellation follows a series of troubling revelations on season 2 of The Valley. The show has exposed some disturbing moments in Jax’s crumbling relationship with now-estranged wife Brittany Cartwright. Brittany, 36, revealed that during a fight, Jax became so enraged he threw a coffee table that hit her, leaving her bruised. She also shared that he punched holes in the walls while their 4-year-old son, Cruz, was just in the next room.
The show also revealed Jax secretly planted a recording device in their home to eavesdrop on Brittany while he was in rehab for cocaine addiction, a facility he admitted to checking into for 17 days. Fans have since taken to social media, calling for Bravo to fire Jax, slamming his lack of accountability, and labeling his actions as abusive and dangerous.
While Jax still managed to perform at the Boston stop of the tour, turnout was reportedly underwhelming. Despite heavy promotion across his social media, only a handful of seats were sold. City Winery, however, had no plans to cancel that specific show and allowed it to proceed. But it was clear from that point that the tour was not going to gain the momentum his team hoped for.
Now, with all dates officially pulled, it’s unclear whether any part of the In the Mind of a Man podcast tour will be rescheduled, or if the fallout from The Valley will continue to derail Jax’s career. What’s certain is that the reality star is facing major backlash both on and off the screen, and his canceled tour is just the latest sign that fans, and venues, are done looking the other way.
