Kanye West is back in the headlines for all the wrong reasons, and this time, it’s over an emotional meltdown including Kim Kardashian that played out live on social media.
In a bizarre and unsettling livestream that surfaced on Wednesday via Hollywood Unlocked’s Instagram, the 47-year-old rapper launched into a furious rant about not being able to see his four children, North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5, whom he shares with ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
Wearing a full black mask that completely covered his face and muffled his speech, West shouted into the camera while pacing. The mask made his words difficult to understand, but the rage was loud and clear. “DJ Akademiks put that battery in my back, bro. ‘Cause I was in the airport by myself … I’m going to go get these kids, man!” he yelled, sounding completely unhinged. He continued, “F**k all these f**king n**s, I’mma go get these kids, bro. I’m talking to the lawyers, it gets to the point where I don’t lose my f*ing mind, where I have to get used to not seeing my kids.”
It’s not the first time Kanye’s taken his frustrations public. Back in March, he posted a now-deleted message on X (formerly Twitter) that was just as fiery. “I DON’T WANT TO JUST ‘SEE’ MY KIDS. I NEED TO RAISE THEM,” he wrote. He ranted about wanting control over where they go to school, who their friends are, and whether his daughters wear makeup or perfume. He even accused Kim and her family of stripping away his parental rights.
“ALL THESE RIGHTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN FROM ME BY THE KARDASHIAN MOB, HULU, AND DISNEY,” Kanye claimed. He also alleged that there’s a wider agenda to use his kids, who he described as “selectively bred Black children”, as tools to influence Black communities.
The livestream left fans both shocked and concerned, with many rallying behind Kim Kardashian. Some urged her to limit Kanye’s access to the kids, calling his behavior unstable. “Kim, keep your babies safe! Even if keeping them from their father,” one person commented. Others were more blunt, saying, “Protect your kids even from their parents if you have to.”
Another fan pointed out how Kanye’s own livestream could be used as legal evidence against him, joking, “Kim doesn’t even have to bring the evidence to court. The judge can just look on her phone on a calm Wednesday morning.”
The situation is growing more tense, especially as Kanye continues to make these moments public. While he demands more say in his kids’ lives, Kim has stayed largely silent, focusing on protecting her children from the chaos.
At this point, Kanye’s social media outbursts are no longer just headline fodder, they’re becoming real liabilities in what looks like an increasingly bitter custody fight.
