Man Jumps Fence at Kelce’s Home to Serve Taylor Swift in Justin Baldoni–Blake Lively Legal Drama

A process server was arrested outside Travis Kelce’s home after allegedly attempting to deliver deposition papers to Taylor Swift in connection with Justin Baldoni’s ongoing legal dispute with actress Blake Lively.

The man, identified as 48-year-old Justin Lee Fisher, was taken into custody at 2 a.m. on September 15. Authorities say Fisher allegedly jumped a fence into the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s gated Leawood, Kansas estate. Both Kelce and Swift, who recently got engaged, were believed to be inside their residence at the time.

Fisher was charged with “jumping the fence onto a private residence in a private neighborhood.” According to The Kansas City Star, the police report detailing the incident was unusually limited, carrying a bold disclaimer that “This information is restricted as to use and dissemination.”

The arrest comes amid Baldoni’s legal battle with Lively. On September 13, PEOPLE reported that Swift is unlikely to be deposed in the case. U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman recently denied Baldoni’s request for a 30-day extension to the discovery cut-off date of September 30, though Lively was granted an extension until October 10.

Baldoni’s attorney Bryan Freedman had argued in a September 11 letter that Swift was willing to testify but could not appear until October 20 due to her professional schedule. However, Swift’s lawyer disputed this, clarifying that the singer never agreed to a deposition. Instead, her team noted that if compelled, Swift’s schedule might allow for the week of October 20, but only if other disputes in the case were resolved.

Swift is currently preparing for the release of her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, on October 3.

The broader case stems from Lively’s December 2024 lawsuit against Baldoni, her It Ends With Us director and co-star, as well as his associates at Wayfarer Studios. Lively accused Baldoni and his team of sexual harassment and launching a retaliatory smear campaign after she spoke out, allegations Baldoni denies.

Baldoni later filed a $400 million countersuit against Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds, alleging defamation and extortion. That countersuit was dismissed in June. In his filings, Baldoni claimed he was pressured into accepting a rewrite suggested by Lively during a meeting with Reynolds and Swift at the couple’s New York penthouse, describing the pop star and Reynolds as Lively’s “dragons.”

Swift was subpoenaed in May, a move her representatives called unnecessary and baseless. “Taylor Swift never set foot on the set of this movie, she was not involved in any casting or creative decisions, she did not score the film, she never saw an edit or made any notes on the film, she did not even see It Ends With Us until weeks after its public release,” her rep stated. The subpoena was withdrawn later that month.

The attempted delivery of deposition papers at Kelce’s home adds another bizarre chapter to an already high-profile Hollywood legal battle.
