Olivia Culpo has some pretty unexpected pregnancy cravings!
The model, 32, who is expecting her first child with NFL star Christian McCaffrey, has shared that she can’t get enough of salads during her pregnancy. As surprising as it may sound, Culpo’s craving for leafy greens is something that caught her husband, Christian, off guard. McCaffrey, a running back for the San Francisco 49ers, admitted to People, “She’s been craving salads.I never knew that was a thing. I don’t know what it is about the leaves, but she’s been craving them!”
This pregnancy craving certainly has surprised McCaffrey, who never thought that salads would become a major part of his wife’s diet during this special time. But it is just one of the many changes Culpo has been embracing as she journeys into motherhood.
The couple, married in 2024, is already preparing for their baby’s arrival, but Christian has clarified that he’s been deeply impressed by how Olivia has handled the pregnancy so far. He shared, “I’m very lucky. I have an amazing wife who’s been so great during her whole pregnancy and has made the process look easy, even though I know it’s not. And so I’m just excited to do it with her.”
Though Olivia’s cravings may be one of a kind, her experience has also made her appreciate her own mother. In another interview, Culpo shared how becoming pregnant gave her a new respect for the support her mom has provided during these early months of her pregnancy. “It’s just an ironic thought that you need your mom the most when you’re about to become a mom,” Olivia reflected on how vital her mom’s help has been through it all.
Both Olivia and Christian have been doing their homework ahead of becoming parents. Christian has been researching and asking plenty of questions of other parents, but he’s realized that each pregnancy journey is different. “Everybody’s experience is different,” he acknowledged. Despite all of the prep work, McCaffrey knows that nothing can fully prepare them for the experience of parenthood, but they’re committed to navigating it together.
These are just some of the interesting moments in this exciting chapter in their lives as they await the arrival of their baby. Evidently, she and Christian are more prepared and connected than ever before for the upcoming addition of a baby into their family.
