Patrick Schwarzenegger is getting candid about just how much The White Lotus meant to him – and fans are feeling it.
The 31-year-old actor, who played Saxon Ratliff in Season 3 of the hit HBO series, took to social media to share an emotional message following the finale. In a heartfelt post on X, Patrick reflected on the journey he’s been on since joining the show’s ensemble cast, calling it a “beautiful chapter” that changed him both professionally and personally.
“Today’s quite bittersweet. I teared up last night in the finale,” he wrote. “First – because it was this beautiful yet devastating and profound ending – but secondly, because it was also the end of this chapter for me in my life.”
Patrick explained that The White Lotus had consumed the last 16 months of his life – from preparation and filming to press obligations. “It was a chapter I learned immensely from. That I grew as an actor and a human,” he added. “Just a moment in life that I’m forever grateful for.”
The actor also thanked fans for sticking with him and his character. “I just wanted to say THANK YOU TO EVERYONE. Everyone that watched the show. Supported me. That didn’t count Saxon out!” he joked. “I hope you all enjoyed it.”
Season 3 of The White Lotus was filmed in Thailand, and Patrick previously described the production as having a “work-hard, play-hard vibe.” Though not in every scene, he still had to stay close to set – and found solace in the downtime.
“Sometimes, it was just other groups filming – groups that I didn’t necessarily interact with in the storyline. So, it was like, what do we do on these off days?” he told E! News. “At first, you want to go to the beach and hang by the pool, but after a while, you want to explore. I would go on long walks – multiple-hour-long walks.”
Patrick, son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, starred alongside a star-studded cast that included Michelle Monaghan, Parker Posey, and Aimee Lou Wood. While the show is known for its rotating ensemble and picturesque locations, this season leaned deeper into emotional complexity and moral ambiguity – something Patrick clearly embraced.
With The White Lotus now behind him, fans are eager to see what’s next. One thing’s certain: Saxon may have checked out of the White Lotus resort, but Patrick Schwarzenegger isn’t going anywhere.
