Pusha T has made it clear, he’s done with Kanye West, both personally and professionally.
In a brutally honest cover interview with GQ, the Virginia rapper opened up about the fallout between him and the man who once championed his solo career.
Pusha T, who was not just signed to Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music label but also served as its president, says their relationship has crumbled for good. The final straw? Kanye’s string of public meltdowns and controversial statements, especially the antisemitic remarks that led to massive brands like Adidas and Balenciaga cutting ties with him in 2022.
“The one thing that I can say about him is that he knows that every issue that he’s having and crying about online right now, I’ve told him distinctly about those things,” Pusha T said in the interview. “He don’t talk to me like he talks to others.”
It’s clear that while many may have distanced themselves quietly, Pusha T confronted Kanye head-on. He said he was always upfront about the reasons their bond couldn’t last.
“He knows I don’t think he’s a man,” Pusha admitted. “He knows it. And that’s why we can’t build with each other no more. That’s why me and him don’t click, because he knows what I really, really think of him. He’s showed me the weakest sides of him, and he knows how I think of weak people.”
When asked to sum up his feelings, Pusha didn’t hold back. “If I take your sickness and take how calculated you’ve been and disruptive you’ve been and tried to be to me, then it cancels itself out. I can’t look at it as sick, because you’re detrimental. You’re detrimental to everything.”
Despite appearing on the track “Diet Coke” from Kanye’s Donda 2, Pusha says the studio dynamic during that time left him creatively sidelined. The sessions were tense, disjointed, and not what he expected.
It’s a sharp turn for two artists who once had one of hip-hop’s most potent collaborations. From “Runaway” to Daytona, their chemistry was undeniable. But now, Pusha’s stance is firm, whatever they built together can’t survive the damage that’s been done.
This isn’t just about business or creative differences. For Pusha T, this is about values. And when someone violates those, not even history or hit records can fix it.
With this very public declaration, it’s safe to say the Pusha T – Kanye West fallout isn’t just a moment, it’s a final chapter.
