Scarlett Johansson is not here for AI messing with her image—especially when it drags her into the Kanye West mess.

The actress just called out the “terrifying” misuse of artificial intelligence after a viral deepfake video showed her and other Jewish celebrities appearing to call out Ye over his latest antisemitic meltdown.

Fake Video, Real Outrage

A video recently made waves online, featuring Scarlett Johansson, Jerry Seinfeld, Natalie Portman, and David Schwimmer wearing shirts with a raised middle finger and the Star of David above Kanye’s name. The problem? It was all AI-generated. None of them actually participated. Johansson issued a statement slamming the video, making it clear she wants no part in this digital chaos.

“I am a Jewish woman who has no tolerance for antisemitism or hate speech,” Johansson said. “But we need to talk about the real problem: AI making fake videos that spread misinformation at warp speed.”

AI’s Growing Problem

This isn’t Johansson’s first fight with AI. Last year, she called out OpenAI for using a voice eerily similar to hers in ChatGPT’s virtual assistant. Now, she’s urging lawmakers to wake up and regulate AI before things get completely out of control.

“We’re facing a tidal wave of AI misuse, and the U.S. is just standing there watching,” she warned. “Other countries are taking action. We need to get serious about stopping this before it gets even worse.”

Meanwhile, Kanye West has been on a downward spiral, flooding social media with antisemitic rants, including declaring “I’m a Nazi” on X. His online store was swiftly shut down by Shopify after he tried selling swastika-branded merch.

The deepfake video, while calling out Kanye’s behavior, also raises bigger questions: If AI can create hyper-realistic fake videos of celebrities now, what’s next? Political figures? Entire news broadcasts?

What’s Next?

Johansson’s statement is making waves, adding more pressure on lawmakers to address AI’s rapid evolution before it becomes the ultimate misinformation weapon. Whether Washington will step up or continue dragging its feet remains to be seen.

One thing’s for sure—AI is no longer just a sci-fi concept. It’s here, and it’s already messing with reality. Johansson, like many others, is demanding answers before it’s too late.
