A source spilled to Us Weekly that even though they’ve split, Sydney and Jonathan’s lives are still “very intertwined.” After all, they were together for years, and cutting ties isn’t as simple as it sounds. “It’s hard for them to just pull the plug and stop all communication,” the insider explained.
The wedding plans are officially off, but that doesn’t mean there’s bad blood. In fact, things between them seem pretty chill. They’ve managed to keep things friendly, and sources say their current vibe is strictly platonic. Sydney, 27, is all about work right now, staying laser-focused on her acting career.
Sydney and Jonathan, 41, were first linked in 2018, and by 2022 they were engaged. The two even bought a house together in Bel Air last year, which is still under renovation. What’s going to happen with the house? That’s still up in the air. “They’ve talked about selling the home once it’s done and are hoping to make a profit,” said another insider. So, yeah, even post-split, they’ve got a lot to sort out.
Career-wise, Sydney is thriving. A source told PEOPLE that she’s in the middle of a dream run professionally and isn’t letting the breakup slow her down. “She’s exactly where she wants to be,” the insider shared. “Most people would feel overwhelmed by her schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now.”
