Fans have been enamored with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s romance from the moment the press went public with their relationship back in 2016.
Their fairytale relationship has been the subject of tabloid fodder for close to a decade now. While naysayers insist the couple is headed for divorce, the reality of the situation is quite different. In fact, behind closed doors, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are closer now than ever before.

It wasn’t long before Harry knew he’d met his dream girl. In fact, on their very first date, which took place at The Soho House in London, he found it hard to function properly since he was so taken aback by her “heart-attack” beauty. “I had never seen anyone so beautiful,” he explained in his tell-all memoir, “Spare.”
He continued, explaining how entranced he was by his future wife during their very first meeting, to the point where he couldn’t speak properly. “She was wearing a black sweater, jeans, heels. I knew nothing about clothes, but I knew she was chic. Then again, she could make anything look chic,” Harry recalled in his memoir. “I’d seen so many photos of her from fashion shoots and TV sets, all glam and glossy, but here she was, in the flesh, no frills, no filter… and even more beautiful. Heart-attack beautiful. I was trying to process this, struggling to understand what was happening to my circulatory and nervous systems, and as a result my brain couldn’t handle any more data. Conversation, pleasantries, the Queen’s English, all became a challenge.”
Their first date was so thrilling, that Harry knew straight away he’d just met the woman of his dreams. When he was asked by BBC when he knew Meghan was the one, he effortlessly responded, “The very first time we met.” Aww!
Meghan Markle Says She and Prince Harry Are In The Honeymoon Phase Now, Seven Years Into Their Marriage
Meghan Markle claimed in her first ever podcast appearance released just last month, that she feels like she and Prince Harry are more in the honeymoon phase now than they were at the beginning of their relationship. Due to all the pressures of being in the spotlight along with their royal duties, the pair didn’t have much downtime to just enjoy each other’s company. Yet now, since much of that has mellowed out, and after the two stepped down from their royal duties, they’re finally able to connect in a way that wasn’t so effortless in their earlier years.
Meghan explained, “We immediately went into the trenches together, right out the gate, like six months into dating,” she said, referring to their tumultuous experience in their first few months together. “So now, seven years later, when you have a little bit of breathing space, you can just enjoy each other in a new way. And that’s why I feel like it’s more of a honeymoon period for us now.”
