Looks like Kylie Jenner has officially won over the toughest critic, Timothée Chalamet’s mom. Nicole Flender, who lives in New York and works in real estate, recently gushed about her son’s girlfriend in an interview with Curbed, calling her “lovely” and “very nice” to her. Sounds like the Dune actor’s relationship is going strong and mom-approved.
The pair have been quietly seeing each other since spring 2023, and while they’re not constantly splashing their romance across headlines, their bond seems solid. In fact, while Timmy was busy scooping up an $11 million Beverly Hills property, he apparently didn’t consult his mom at all. “Did he ask for my advice? No,” she said with a laugh. “He said, ‘Guess what? I bought a house.’” Bold move.
Despite both of her children living far from New York, his sister Pauline resides in France, Nicole has no plans to follow them. “Would you want your mom trailing you everywhere?” she joked. Honestly, fair point. She seems perfectly happy visiting them on her terms.
Still, being the mother of one of Hollywood’s most in-demand actors comes with its own weird perks. Nicole admits she’s received some unusual fan messages and even real estate inquiries from people trying to connect over their love for Timothée’s films. One caller even tried to sell her an apartment because he was a fan of her son. Wild.
On the flip side, Kylie recently shared that she’s been trying to keep things more private, with Timothée. In an interview with HommeGirls, she said she values time away from the public eye and prefers spending evenings at home with close friends and family. It’s a different vibe for the reality star turned beauty mogul, and one that might be why things are working so well with her current boyfriend.
