Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler’s Alleged Feud Clouds Snow White Release
As Disney’s live-action remake of Snow White gears up for its March 21 release, behind-the-scenes tensions between stars Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler have taken center stage. Insiders claim the two “have nothing in common”, adding fuel to the already controversial rollout of the film.
Inside the Alleged Tension Between Gadot and Zegler
According to sources, Zegler (23) and Gadot (39) struggled to find common ground, not just because of their age difference but also due to their differing political views.
“Gal is a mom of four. Rachel is in a different stage of life. They just don’t connect,” one source shared.
Another insider added that their political differences further deepened the divide. Gadot, who served in the Israel Defense Forces, has been outspoken in advocating for the release of Israeli hostages. Zegler, on the other hand, has used her platform to voice support for Palestine.
Did Their Feud Affect the Film’s Promotion?
Despite these reported differences, both actresses have appeared at multiple events to promote Snow White, including at Disney’s D23 Expo in 2022 and at the recent Academy Awards, where they took the stage to present the best visual effects category together.
However, Gadot skipped the film’s European premiere in Spain on March 12, leading to speculation. A source close to the situation denied a rift, stating:
“This isn’t a ‘stay away from me’ situation. Gal was never scheduled to be in Spain; she was doing press in New York instead.”
Gal Gadot Annoyed by Snow White Controversy
Tensions surrounding Snow White extend beyond the rumored discord between its leads. Since her casting in 2021, Rachel Zegler has faced backlash from some Disney fans unhappy with a Latina actress playing Snow White.
Adding to the controversy, Zegler has openly criticized the original 1937 animated film, calling it “dated” and emphasizing that the new version modernizes the story. Sources claim that Gadot disagrees with this approach, believing that actors should support their projects, not create drama.
“Gal’s attitude is that you don’t publicly criticize a movie you signed up for,” one insider stated.
Are Gadot and Zegler Friends?
While the two actresses have shared a stage at various events, reports suggest their relationship is strictly professional. A source explained:
“They did a job together and that’s it. They were fine, but they are not friends.”
The Road to Snow White’s Release
Despite the off-screen drama, Snow White remains one of Disney’s most anticipated live-action remakes. Directed by Marc Webb, the film features original songs by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul. Disney fans are eager to see Zegler’s take on the iconic princess and Gadot’s portrayal of the Evil Queen.
Will Snow White Live Up to Expectations?
With the March 21 release date approaching, all eyes will be on the film’s performance at the box office. Will the off-screen tension affect its success? Or will Disney’s latest live-action effort prove its critics wrong?
