Boss of Mixmash Records, Lucas Cornelis van Scheppingen popularly known by his stage name Laidback Luke, has had quite a different 2017.
The man behind brilliant collaborations such as ‘Leave The World Behind’, ‘Turbulence’, ‘Show Me Love’ and many more has been active in the music industry for almost 25 years now.
During this year’s Amsterdam Dance Event, we got a chance to have a sit-down conversation with Laidback Luke, where we got to know more about his 2017, his plans for 2018, his future plans for the label, his upcoming collaborations and much more. He even went to call this phase in the industry as the “The Chainsmokers Era” as he felt that the boundary between electronic music and pop music is fading away. We got to know what currently worries him and he shared with us his love for butter chicken and the Indian fans. In the end, he also showed us his cool wallet.
