Chris Valencia – “It’s been amazing! The year has started with so much inspiration, and I’m grateful for everything coming my way. I’ve been working on a lot of music and focusing on growth—both as an artist and an individual.”
T.H.E – Tell us about the process behind ‘What You Waiting For.’
Chris Valencia – “This track is very special to me. I actually finished it just one day before my daughter was born, which makes the release even more meaningful. It was surreal putting the final touches on it while anticipating such a major life event.”
T.H.E – How does it feel to sign with Toolroom Trax?
Chris Valencia – “It’s a dream come true! Toolroom has been such an influential label in house and tech house music, and I’ve always admired their work. Signing with them and being able to share my sound with their audience is an honor.”
T.H.E – What’s your take on the underground scene in the U.S. right now?
Chris Valencia – “The underground house and techno scene in the U.S. is thriving. There’s an undeniable hunger for fresh sounds, and cities like Miami, New York, LA, and Chicago are constantly evolving. The passion within this community—from artists, promoters, and fans—is what keeps pushing the culture forward.”
T.H.E – Are there any plans for remixes of ‘What You Waiting For’?
Chris Valencia – “Let’s see what happens! I’m always open to fresh interpretations of my work.”
T.H.E – What’s next for Chris Valencia?
Chris Valencia – “I have several original tracks and collaborations in the works. My goal is to keep refining my sound and experimenting with new ideas. There are a few upcoming projects that I think people will really connect with—so stay tuned!”
