Releasing multiple remixes this year and some great original works, Davi Hemann returned with Ana Clemesha to unveil ‘Carry On’.
Powerful bass and percussion are the hallmarks of Davi’s work, but the young producer also harnessed emotion in the melodies, and with the help of the vocals was able to make a beautiful EDM track. Brazilian Bass abound; this one is a smasher. We chatted to Davi Hemann to get some behind the scenes info on the release.
T.H.E – So Davi – what made you decide to work with Ana Clemesha?
Davi Hemann – Definitely her voice. It is so unique. Also, we are very good friends, so I guess everything conspired to make this happen!
T.H.E – Was the track name her decision or yours?
Davi Hemann – Ana wrote the lyrics and I just grabbed the principal verse of the hook and suggested it as the name of the song. Ana liked it and we, together, decided the track name!
T.H.E – It’s a great release; can we expect originals like this from you in the future?
Davi Hemann – For sure! I have been working on so much different music with a lot of different people. You can definitely expect more collaborations with singers. It’s one of my favorite things to do!
T.H.E – You’ve released so much good music over the last few months – where do you find the creativity?
Davi Hemann – I look for creativity in other kinds of art. Movies, books, paintings/pictures and some bands that I like. But in this case, Ana’s lyrics inspired me the most for creating the sounds of this track.
T.H.E – You’ve explored different styles over these recent releases, but what is your favourite?
Davi Hemann – I really don’t have a favorite one. For me, it’s all about the composition and feeling. If these two things are perfectly combined together, it doesn’t matter the genres or style.
T.H.E – How long did the track take from start to finish?
Davi Hemann – Took several months. We recorded the vocals about 2 or 3 times and I made 3 very different versions of the song. Every single project took approximately 40-50 hours.
T.H.E – Have you played the track out at a gig yet – and how was it received?
Davi Hemann – Yes! I played the club version of the song, which will be released soon. The crowd was amazing. It’s actually hard to not get into the feeling of the song with Ana’s vocals.
T.H.E – Finally, where can we find the track?
