Revered Brazilian producers Future Class & RADIØMATIK recently dropped their new single – Nothing Change.
Check out our chat below, where we speak to both of them to understand how the collaboration came about, and their plans for 2018.
T.H.E – Welcome guys. It’s a pleasure to have you here at The Music Essentials.
Future Class – Whats up! Thank you for the invite.
RADIØMATIK – Hey guys! Our pleasure, thanks for having us.
T.H.E – For people who are just discovering your music, how would you describe yourselves and your sound?
Future Class – We are very fun and playful and we pass all this feeling on our sets and songs. We like to create really happy songs so that people feel good when they are listening.
RADIØMATIK – Well, when we are not on shows we spend lots of time in the studio recording, writing and producing. We always look to have a lot of “musicality” in our sound, trying to always have as many organic sounds as possible trying to really touch people’s feelings with our melodies.
T.H.E – How did your collaboration on the single ’Nothing Change’ come about?
Future Class – Radiomatik sent us a demo of “Nothing Change” vocals and guitars, we liked it a lot and started working together.
RADIØMATIK – We had the vocals, organic instruments and melodies ready and we’ve always enjoyed the boys records so we thought would be a cool mix on our melodies with their intense drops. It was def. a great decision.
T.H.E – You must be happy with the current heat for the record on Spotify, how are streaming services in your native homeland?
Future Class – We are extremely happy with the repercussion of “Nothing Change” on Spotify and other streaming channels. Streaming here in Brazil has grown a lot and we believe it to be the biggest music service currently used.
RADIØMATIK – Alphabeat Records has done a great job with this record, and we are very happy with it and think there’s much more to go.
T.H.E – The year so far has been big for you guys, are there any plans for more releases coming soon?
Future Class – This year has been wonderful, full of shows, traveling and lots of new music coming.
RADIØMATIK – It’s crazy to think that it’s not just the best year, but also the first year of our project. Nothing Change is already our second record that is getting major attention. We have a very well planned release schedule with tons of new big records coming up. Stay tuned!
T.H.E – With the summer season in mid-flow, what are your plans for the rest of the year?
Future Class – We look forward to showing our fans all the songs we’ve been working on lately. There’s plenty of good stuff!
RADIØMATIK – We are looking forward to our upcoming releases, especially the upcoming one with the super talented “Stee Downes” on the vocals which will be out on the 31st of August.
T.H.E – What artists have inspired you guys along the way (past or present) in your careers?
Future Class – We have a lot of influence from bands like Linkin Park, Red Hot Chili Peppers and DJs like Daft Punk, Tiesto, Armin van Buuren and Chris Lake.
RADIØMATIK – It’s quite hard to say a specific name. We have a lot of influences from Rock, Jazz, Pop, Disco and even Techno. We always try to make a proper fusion to bring musicality the whole time.
