Beauty oozes out of this track. Be it the gorgeous piano, vocal manipulation or prominent vocal line, there is something for everyone in ‘Clarity’ and it shows once again how Vizual is able to create evocative and powerful Dance music which breaks down the barriers of genres to create something wholly special and unique. We wanted to know more about the track, so we caught up with him to learn how it came in to existence!

T.H.E – So, can you sum up the inspiration behind the name and why you chose it?

Vizual – Yeah of course! So my stage name came from my nickname, which is Viz. So I used the word visual changed the s to a z so it has my nickname in there and there you go – I got the name Vizual! J

T.H.E – It’s a really unique release; do you think it’s a sign of things to come in the future for you?

Vizual – Yeah I bloody hope so haha! I’ve been working really hard on my sound, productions and DJ sets to bring something unique to my fans around the world. I have some similar up and coming releases with the same kind of sound but cant go in to too much detail about those tracks right now!

T.H.E – Do you have any particular influences you think are noticeable in the tracks?

Vizual – Honestly – not really! I try to make my own unique sound and productions, but obviously I look up to the production and skills of David Guetta and Avicii who just passed away, bless him. Those guys have made the EDM scene what it is today.

T.H.E – How long did it take to complete the track from start to finish?

Vizual – Roughly just over a month and a half including mixing and mastering.

T.H.E – Do you have any more works down the line we can look forward to?

Vizual – Hell yeah I do haha. Just finished a track with the very talented vocalist and writer Kinnie Lane. It’s a Pop/EDM/Future House track. I’ve worked with her before on a track called ‘Lullaby’ that was released on Peak Hour Music. I am also working on an unofficial remix of Faithless’ ‘Insomnia’ – so exciting times!

T.H.E – Was there a time you knew the release was finished, or did it take a long time to perfect? And how was it working with Dorian?

Vizual – Yeah, once the mix was finished Dorian and me both listened to it and decided it was complete. Thank god we did because I am a bit of a perfectionist! I would have kept working on the track and it would have turned out to be something completely different haha.

T.H.E – Do you have a method to starting tracks and was this unique or similar to usual?

Vizual – Not so much unique, but more the way I always start my productions. So I always start with the chords to get a rough idea of what I want the track to sound like, and then get some ideas down and finish with the melody. Then I look at the structure of the track, look at where things should be in place; like breakdown vocals, chords and drop – then go from there!

T.H.E – Finally, where can we get our hands on the tune?
