With his brand-new release ‘Don’t Stop’ on the table, Jacob Colon has made his imprint on the saturated New York House music ecosphere.

He has established himself as one of the East Coast’s most prolific House DJ/Producers with his recent releases on Juicy Traxx, Nervous Records, unquantize and his own imprint Made 2 Move. Speaking of which, his new release ‘Don’t Stop’ features addictive vocals paired with a bassline that sticks in the head and synthesis that drop in and out to keep the listener guessing. This is a true exploration through what modern Electronic music is capable of. It transcends one genre and creates an irresistible fusion.

We caught up with Jacob Colon with a series of behind-the-scenes questions to find out more about the man behind the music:

T.H.E – Hey man – great to have you here. How’re you doing?

Jacob Colon – I’ve been hanging in there, staying busy in the studio. I’ve been privileged enough to make some pretty great contacts over these past few months and will be releasing great music in the foreseeable future.

T.H.E – What’s new in the world of Jacob Colon?

Jacob Colon – Recently I’ve made some contacts with singers in the urban-Latin genre. We’ve been talking about some very interesting ideas to do with fusing what I do with what they do. Stay tuned.

T.H.E – So – let’s talk music. ‘Don’t Stop’ – how did it come about?

Jacob Colon – ‘Don’t Stop’ was created in collaboration with a very talented singer in Miami, named ‘Katiahshe’. After a few drafts sent back and forth, we finally were able to create a concept together.

T.H.E – How long did the track take from start to finish?

Jacob Colon – I don’t have a specific number of days, but I would say it was relatively quick. Maybe a week.

T.H.E – If you could describe it in 3 words, what would they be?

Jacob Colon – Catchy, Smooth, Vibe.

T.H.E – Can we expect more like this from you in the future?

Jacob Colon – Yes, I’ve been collaborating with a lot of singers recently, so stay tuned.

T.H.E – Where does this rank amongst your favorite self-produced tracks?

Jacob Colon – It is definitely up there. The vibe of this track is super dope.

T.H.E – Where can we find the track?

Jacob Colon – It is currently out on all audio platforms.
