T.H.E Interview – Jaksan

Jaksan is a Tech House DJ and producer from Las Vegas who has been making waves in his hometown with high-energy DJ sets and signature tracks that he describes as fun, bubbly, & littered with wild sound FX.

Supported by the likes of Claude Von Stroke, Jaksan’s ‘Make Me Dance’ is already working its way up the Beatport Hype chart. We caught up with Jaksan to discuss his latest hit.

T.H.E – What was the inspiration behind ‘Make Me Dance’?

Jaksan – Swordfish! I wanted a track that could fit into the modern reboot of the film.

T.H.E – Sum up this track in 3 words?

Jaksan – Gritty, Driven and Bouncy

T.H.E – Give us a bit of insight into your creative process?

Jaksan – Kick and Bass almost always comes first but sometimes I spend an hour making one Synth or FX line that will be the piece of the song that sticks with you.

T.H.E – Who are your influences?

Jaksan – It was mostly Chris Lake & Shiba San who influenced ‘Make Me Dance’

T.H.E – What is your dream label to release on?

Jaksan – Dirtybird

T.H.E – Who would you love to collaborate with?

Jaksan – It would have to be Walker & Royce!

T.H.E – What are your most used plug-ins?

Jaksan – Serum, Sylenth and Brainworx Family

T.H.E – Where did you learn how to produce?

Jaksan – I went to a formal school in LA but honestly learned more from YouTube. I used channels like Zen World, Dancefair videos, & Future Music Magazine, they did so much for me.

T.H.E – Who impresses you most in the Tech House scene right now?

Jaksan – Dateless & Lucati, these brothers have seized every opportunity that has come their way and have really blown up over the last year.

T.H.E – Can you let us into some other projects you’re working on?

Jaksan – I’m currently finalizing some music with Drip Drop Records but I’m also working on a few collabs. One I’m really excited for is with Chance King from Hawaii.
