Keanu Silva was Germany’s best-kept secret prior to his recent releases, catapulting him straight into the limelight.

“Fine Day” mutated into one of the most played tracks during Tomorrowland 2018, whilst the high-profile collaboration “King Of My Castle” with future house legend Don Diablo earned the talented DJ a spot in the hearts of his fans.

His collaboration with Laidback Luke “Oh Yes (Rockin’ With The Best)” was another career highlight, having racked up over 16 million streams on Spotify. Additionally, he recently produced remixes for Lost Frequencies, Tiësto, Dimtri Vegas & Like Mike and Lil Baby. 2021 is going to be another exciting year for Keanu with a plethora of releases for fans to look forward to.

We caught up with Keanu to learn more about his collaborations with Don Diablo & Laidback Luke, plans for 2021 and more.

T.H.E – Hey Keanu! Welcome to T.H.E – Music Essentials. How has 2021 kicked off for you?

Keanu Silva – Thank you for having me! I had a good start into the new year. Feeling great and making a lot of music with my team!

My latest single “Turn It Up” hit the streets and I’m happy with all the positive feedback so far :)

T.H.E – 2020 ended on a brilliant note for you, with your track “Feel The Vibe” becoming the #2 Future House Track Of The Year on 1001Tracklists. How did that feel?

Keanu Silva – Amazing! I’m glad that people like the clubby Keanu music and a big shout out to Kuba & Neitan and FHM for reaching out with the opportunity to put my hands on their track!

This production really became something special for me.

T.H.E – You have had some phenomenal collaborations with some of the biggest artists around, like Don Diablo and Laidback Luke. Do you tweak your production process or go about it in a different way given the stature of the artists you are teaming up with?

Keanu Silva – It’s always a new story that unfolds every time I team up with such big artists and make music! Very exciting and interesting process but still don’t have to change myself too much, so the basics don’t change. It’s more of a harmonic situation in terms of ideas and effort both sides put in…

Sometimes it works out, and of course sometimes not but that’s just making music at it’s core!

T.H.E – Is there pressure, when you’re working with the likes of Don or Luke. How do you deal with that?

Keanu Silva – As I said it’s very exciting and of course you feel a bit pressure as you want the result to be as good as possible. But during the process when we are vibed-in it’s just making music and the pressure fades a bit and that’s good :)

T.H.E – And as a young producer, what is the impact that collaborations of such stature have on you?

Keanu Silva – They are an important milestone that helped me a lot on my way and I am thankful for these collaborations!

T.H.E – Lastly, what can you tell us about your plans for 2021?

Keanu Silva – My solo singles that are already finished and ready to go and hopefully I can play them live for all the amazing people around the globe as soon as possible this year!
