Roberto Rodriguez interview

Based out of Poland, 23-year old Kamil Bobin was influenced to take up music production under the Roberto Rodriguez alias by artists such as Manian, Scooter, and DJ Gollum.

Having been busy in 2019 with the release of new singles, Kamil sits down with us to discuss his “Roberto Rodriguez” alias, and plenty more.

T.H.E – Hey Kamil! Welcome to T.H.E – Music Essentials. How has 2019 been for you so far?

Roberto Rodriguez – Certainly, it has been the busiest year of my career. In January, the single “Memento Mori” appeared. Then I began to work intensively on the new material. From June there are visible effects.

T.H.E – How best would you describe your sounds?

Roberto Rodriguez – My sounds are purely commercial. This is due to the fact that I am not a fan of twisting the sounds. I am most happy with the process of arranging myself. In my productions, I like to use oriental sounds.

T.H.E – You started with music production at the age of 15. What were some of the toughest challenges you faced back then?

Roberto Rodriguez – In the beginning, I completely did not know where to start, but step by step I got to know the secrets. It was harder to reconcile the school together with the production. In addition, I did not have support from the family.

T.H.E – Which artists inspired you to become a music producer?

Roberto Rodriguez – I was very inspired by DJ Gollum and Manian.

T.H.E – Your recent release – Temptation received support from Marco Carola! That’s big. How long was it in the works?

Roberto Rodriguez – Temptation, is my first release from the alias Roberto Rodriguez, which took place on November 8, 2018. However, I am constantly trying to promote my songs, both older and newer. The interest of Marco Carola, I was very pleased, just like Carlos Jurado from Pacha nightclub in Ibiza. The production of the song took a few days. Generally, I think that if the song does not end in a few days, it will never finish.

T.H.E – Which part of the track was the toughest to create?

Roberto Rodriguez – The hardest thing was to do the last work on the song, that is, fine-tune the details. So it is also with all the songs.

T.H.E – What can you tell us about your plans for the future, in terms of touring and music production?

Roberto Rodriguez – As far as touring is concerned, the work is still underway. I cooperate with the deejaybooking.com agency, also if you are interested, I invite you to contact. Regarding music production, 5 songs will be definitely released this year.

T.H.E – Lastly, if they were 5 artists that you would want to collaborate with, who would they be?

Roberto Rodriguez – I think it would be Timmy Trumpet, KSHMR, W&W, David Guetta and Showtek.
