Despite his early years, Arty has scaled to enormous heights in the dance music industry, with a massive number of hit singles and shows to his name.

A style that transcends from house music to trance, Arty’s ear for detail and floor filling euphoric leads have enamoured various festivals and clubs around the world. With a highly anticipated album incoming, we caught up with the Russian prodigy himself for a quick fire chat!

T.H.E – Hi there! Thanks for taking time out to speak with us! How has the past year been for you?

Arty – Hey!! It was pretty amazing and hectic at the same time. I did a lot of shows but at the same time I was working on my record.

T.H.E – You’ve been pioneering a scene ever since you broke through with a number of hit singles. How have you shaped your sound over the years to what it is today?

Arty – The music scene right now is really inspiring. There are so many new genres and styles popping up. And it gives me huge inspiration, you can clearly hear it on my upcoming album! Also the fact that listeners became way more open for new things gives artists a lot of options to discover new sound.

T.H.E – Following the release of “Up All Night” last year, “Stronger” featuring Ray Dalton has been one of the highlights of the year! Can you tell us more about the collaboration?

Arty – That was the second record we made together with Toby Gad. And it’s really cool to have Ray on vocals as well, cause he’s insanely talented singer! The whole song came together pretty fast – before getting to studio with them I already had melody idea for the hook, so it made whole process a bit easier

T.H.E – So the album comes out this year, tipped to be one of the highlights of the year! What urged you to go about a full length LP? Are there any special collaborations like the one with Ray Dalton?

Arty – This debut album for me is the chance to show myself to listeners as really diverse artist. Every track on the album sounds a bit different to each other, but when you listen the whole thing, it makes a lot of sense. I can’t really tell about other collaborations, just want to keep as many surprises as possible!

T.H.E – You’ve been strong headed about your choice of music and remixes. Which artist inspires you in the way you would like to inspire further generations in the scene?

Arty – There is so many inspirations for me at the moment – Flume, Years & Years, Skrillex, Weekend and many others. They all sounds totally different, but all of them pushing musical boundaries even further.

T.H.E – You’ve had a strong connection with Above & Beyond and the Anjunabeats crew. Do you plan to bring out more music with the label in the future?

Arty – Yes, totally! I love Anjuna family a lot, and we have quite a history, but there is more things we can do together. That’s what we’re working on right now!

T.H.E – Mat Zo and you have delivered some great music in the past. Can fans expect new music from you’ll in the near future?

Arty – I hope so, he’s working on his second album, I’m finishing mine, but you never know what’s gonna happen in future.

T.H.E – There’s been a new wave of the introduction of genres and sounds. What advice would you give upcoming producers with respect to their creativity in the studio?

Arty – Being as much creative as possible. Do not put yourself into style limits, there is so much beautiful music around, that can make you wanna do something really fresh and unexpected!

T.H.E – What can fans expect from the Glorious album tour with Lenno?

Arty – I’m gonna play a lot of new music from my album, some club oriented edits, when I’m 100 percent done with the whole record. So it’s gonna be hardest upcoming months, but I’m really looking forward to it

T.H.E – What are your Top 5 essential tunes at the moment?

Arty – The Weekend – Prisoner, Mura Masa – Firefly, ODESZA – Sun Models, Years & Years – Foundation, RUFUS DU SOL – You Were Right
