Review: Lane 8 – Rise

0

Lane 8 aka Daniel Goldstein, the North American producer who is currently residing in Germany and is signed to the deep house label, Anjunadeep is introducing himself with a brand new, debut album called Rise.

Rise has a very melodic and eclectic element to it and is definitely a ear pleaser. It has a zone oriented, chilled out yet dance oriented vibe that uses an amalgamation of the old school sound with modern day music. The refreshing vocals and the vibrant music create an appealing flow that makes nostalgia a very prevalent feeling. The wonderful combination of sounds serves the purpose of both, listening as well as dancing and the album has definitely gone up a notch with the help of the vocalists. This album creates a feel good atmosphere and has very clean sound along with a soulful essence to it. The very crux of the album is powerful as the music has a mesmerizing and uplifting wave of feeling to it and it has a few personal favorites of mine such as “Diamonds”, “Hot as you want” and “Loving you”. I loved the progressive escalation of the tunes, especially with that hint of those classic 80’s synths.

A brilliant debut album by Lane 8, powerful yet emotion oriented and I strongly recommend that you check this album out because its something you do not want to miss, especially if you are into deep house.
