Kelli-Leigh has revealed a new track and video to round off an incredible year.
‘Nothing More’ showcases a different side to the singer and songwriter, who has made some serious waves in 2018, after releasing her first two solo singles ‘Can’t Dance’ and ‘Do You Wanna Be Loved Like This?’.
Moving away from the uplifting dance-pop sound of these two singles, ‘Nothing More’ is a stripped back song with a trap-inspired beat. The accompanying performance video features a powerful choreographed performance by Kelli-Leigh, and is directed by Bipolar Spider.
Kelli-Leigh said: “I wanted to drop a final track on my label to end the year. It’s all about the music and the feeling and ‘Nothing More’”
Kelli-Leigh is no stranger to the charts having provided vocals for the massive global smash hits ‘I Got U’ by Duke Dumont & Jax Jones and ‘I Wanna Feel’ by Second City. She has also co-written hits such as Low Steppa’s ‘Running’ and Duke Dumont’s ‘Be Here’. In 2017, Kelli-Leigh featured on ‘More Than Friends’ with James Hype, which became her first credited UK Top 10 hit – which still features heavily on daily radio rotation. Most recently, she joined forces with Warner artist Black Saint on the summer smash ‘Don’t Wreck My Holiday’, which is receiving strong weekly Dance Anthems support from BBC Radio 1, five weeks into its release.
Originating from South London, Kelli-Leigh was raised on a diet of Whitney Houston and Prince. These influences can be heard in her vocals, and she remains one of the most sought-after voices in pop music. She has performed several times on Radio 1 Live Lounge with Adele, Craig David, Blonde, Original Dodger, Jax Jones & Duke Dumont.
Kelli-Leigh started her own label, Music Core, as a way to release her music without having to wait and rely on major labels.
“I looked at releasing via a label but a lot of the majors seem to be focused mainly on male DJs and producers at the moment. I’d been told multiple times ‘it’s ‘harder to sell a female artist’ and so decided not to wait but start my campaign myself.”
