It’s official: Elden Ring Nightreign has confirmed its release date, and FromSoftware is bringing an entire new level of mayhem to the Lands Between.
This isn’t just any DLC. Nightreign is a separate game with new mechanics, new combat, and a world that continuously shrinks with each passing minute. Yeah, you read that right – a constantly evolving battlefield.
What’s New in Nightreign?

FromSoftware is shaking things up big time with co-op gameplay that lets you squad up with two other players. The days of going solo through brutal encounters are over – now you can suffer together. Here’s what else is changing:
- Three-player co-op: Work as a team or die alone.
- New locations: Discover such mysterious areas as Night’s Tide and Ring of Rain.
- Movement upgrades: wall running and gliding with a Spectral Hawk? Yes, please.
- Map shrink mechanic: the world shrinks every three nights in-game, pushing you into epic battles.
- No fall damage: Finally, you won’t break your legs jumping off cliffs!
- New bosses: Including the terrifying Nightlord, ready to ruin your life.
When Does It Drop?

Elden Ring: Nightreign is slated to release on May 30, 2025. Mark those calendars, phone in sick, and get ready to descend into madness. Pre-orders are already live, and there are several editions available:
- Standard Edition: This is the basic edition; it just contains the game, nothing else.
- Deluxe Edition: This includes extra in-game cosmetics, plus a digital artbook.
- Collector’s Edition: This includes a knight statue and the legendary Helmet of Wylder.

Early impressions hint that Nightreign retains much of that brutal charm found in Elden Ring, infused with much – needed twists to keep things fresh. Faster movement, real-time map changes, and expanded co-op mean this might be the most dynamic FromSoftware experience yet. If you love suffering, teamwork, and the thrill of survival, Elden Ring Nightreign is going to be the next thing you obsess over.
With huge changes to the way you’ll be moving, fighting, and exploring, it’s shaping out to be one insane ride. Time to fight, time to adapt, and time to survive-the Nightlord awaits.
