Fresh from electrifying the 6am Temple Stage crowd at this year’s Glastonbury festival, jungle duo 4am Kru continue to tease their debut album Incognito Rhythm with highly anticipated single ‘Wutt’.

Emerging post covid with their uniquely raucous live show, the duo has quickly built a dedicated following with their immersive brand of 1994 flavoured jungle. The pair first met playing in various indie bands, seamlessly transitioning their live band setup into the underground, captivating ravers fresh out of isolation with their raw and disruptive sound. With early shows seeing them set up directly on the dance floor amongst flying bodies, broken fingers, and falling monitors, chaos is built into the fabric of 4am Kru’s live ethos.

Often comparing their shows to the theatricality and adrenaline of the WWE ring, 4am Kru are continuing to redefine live jungle music. Despite the physical toll – chipped bones, layers of hand-taping, and chalk-covered hands – their passion for connecting with the crowd drives them to welcome the mayhem and embrace innovation. Their unique setup has even motivated them to find new ways of playing live bass through a Roland SPD SX drum pad as thick as a car tire.

With word of their electric shows spreading rapidly, the duo are gearing up for performances across festivals like Outlook Origins, Boomtown, Boardmasters, Reading + Leeds, Waterworks, Boundary and more this summer following performances across The Blind Tiger and Temple Stages at Glastonbury, Parklife, Beat-Herder and more. Their UK tour kicks off in October 2024, playing regional shows up & down the country.

Teasing the rich tapestry of sounds showcased in the forthcoming album, 4am Kru’s latest single ‘Wutt’ is an electrifying and perfectly crafted jungle slammer following the release of titular single Incognito Rhythm that samples Little Simz’ smash hit Gorilla last month. In addition to drawing from the “magical” era of 1993-1994 jungle, the album will feature a wide variety of influences from obscure slow jams from R&B artists like Angela Bofill and Prince, early hardcore bands like Hüsker Dü and off-kilter Scottish folk music. Magnetic, floor-filling, and flush with frenzied percussion, ‘Wutt’ continues to eagerly anticipate a debut album from London’s best.

4am Kru – Wutt is out 19th July.
