Today, the critically acclaimed Glaswegian soul star Joesef releases the “Joe (Paul Woolford Remix)”, with the original song has becoming a live fan favourite, closing every show across the globe from a sold-out Bowery Ballroom in New York to the iconic Troubadour in Los Angeles.

Transforming the already euphoric track to a dance-floor-ready anthem, this is the first collaboration between Joesef and the Leeds born dance producer and DJ Paul Woolford (LF System, Gabriels and Tori Amos). “Joe” is lifted from Joesef’s critically acclaimed top #20 debut album Permanent Damage, which represents the multilayers of the Scottish singer’s character and heart.

In the past two months, Joesef has headlined a career defining sold-out Roundhouse in London to two sold-out Barrowlands in his hometown of Glasgow, whilst dropping a blistering cover of “Let’s Stay Together”, on the soul legend Al Green’s 77th birthday. With stripped back production, letting his velvet soulful tones sing through one of the most iconic songs of the last century, the Scottish singer, songwriter and producer was able to reimagine one of the greats, which follows his highest streaming cover of Sister Sledge’s “Thinking Of You”. This summer, Joesef will take to the stage at festivals from Parklife to TRNSMT, Reading & Leeds to All Points East.

A legendary DJ and producer in his own right, Grammy nominated artist Paul Woolford has been redefining and reinventing all shapes of dance music for over 20 years. He has applied his touch to hundreds of records, including the global multi-platinum single Looking For Me with Diplo and Atlanta’s Kareen Lomax. He has worked with an array of world class artists including Moby, Sam Smith, Chemical Brothers, Tori Amos, Lana Del Rey, Disclosure, Goldie, Jamie XX, London Grammar and plenty more. Also releasing more jungle and breakbeat-influenced music under his Special Request moniker, he continues to reinvent himself and push the boundaries, maintaining a hectic global touring schedule and releasing no fewer than four albums across 2019.

Putting his own timeless spin on Joesef’s fan favourite record ‘Joe’, Paul Woolford transforms the euphoric track into a dance floor anthem, set to be the sound of the summer.
