Mako, the Los Angeles-based electronic act led by producer/songwriter Alex Seaver, returns to the spotlight with a new single “Breathe.”
Out now on Ultra Music, “Breathe” marks the first official single with Seaver as the sole member behind Mako. Previously a duo, (with DJ and band mate Logan Light), Mako now takes on a new life as a solo act, with Seaver serving a multifaceted role as its frontman and driving creative force.
Written and co-produced by Seaver, “Breathe” features a striking vocal performance from Seaver himself. It’s a gorgeous pop track built on elegance and sophistication and filled with organic sounds and instruments. “The song is built around a personal and soft voice telling an uplifting story,” says Seaver of “Breathe.” “It’s ultimately something that’s powerful and moving, but it doesn’t come without a little bit of pain attached to it as well.”
Mako will be going live on Facebook on December 8th at 10AM PST to discuss the single, upcoming tour and more. Fans can watch it here.
In support of “Breathe,” Mako is launching a 33-date North American tour, which will see Seaver front a four piece live band as he did in major markets at the top of 2017. Set to launch January 2018 and run through March, the tour will bring the act’s reimagined vision to life via a new, full live show alongside a full band.
