Renowned producer Maya Jane Coles releases two brand new tracks – of which one of them comes out under her alter ego, Nocturnal Sunshine.
While Maya Jane Coles sees the release of “Don’t Leave”, she has quite adventurously taken up the decision to release “Foundation” under Nocturnal Sunshine. The multi-talented producer is one who has written the song herself and has released it on her own label, I/AM/ME.
The first track “Don’t Leave” begins with a really classic tech-house vibe. With vocal loops taking prominence, the synth-works do their bit in the background. Offering a vintage club vibe, the track keeps you hooked to it all throughout. Exuding a dark fragrance, the artist has you sucked into the charm of her music!
Foundation begins with a haunting vibe while the kicks gain prominence, along with the speech-based vocal loops. With a bassline that is addictive, the track has a gentle grasp on you and the use of melodic elements at places does not fail to surprise you.
Nocturnal Sunshine has created quite a buzz with the works like Can’t Hide The Way I Feel and Take Me There while working on remixes for The Orb, Alpines and Karin Park also showed the producers capabilities further.
The UK based producer is someone who has been highly regarded for her productions which have a hip-hop and dub influence. Her first studio album Comfort saw successful singles like Blame feat. Nadine Shah, Everything feat. Karin Park, Wait For You feat. Tricky and Take A Ride feat. Miss Katlin while the second album Take Flight also saw significant releases such as Weak, Bo& Wing, A Chemical Affair, Keep Me Warm and Go On and Make It Through.
With multiples releases under her name, her alter ego Nocturnal Sunshine and as part of the electronic dub duo She Is Danger, the artist has shown immense variety in production skills! Being able to create a musical experience that is both intimate and energetic, the producer has garnered much love and support. These two tracks themselves portray a lot of variety, giving us insight into her mind. With that having been said, we can’t wait to hear more from her!
