We are now over halfway through January and we’re sure more than a few fitness-related resolutions are starting to fizzle out.
Well, Michelle Obama has other plans and chose to share the soundtrack to her workouts for 2020 to serve as motivation.
While Barack Obama just shared his favorite songs of 2019 playlist to end the year, Michelle took a page from her husband’s book and decided to share her 36-song workout playlist for 2020. The upbeat playlist also has a dedicated cool-down section.
The former first lady has long been an advocate for health and fitness, especially among the youth, a matter she championed even as the first lady. Obama guided the White House’s Let’s Move! public health campaign that was aimed at encouraging a healthier lifestyle and combatting childhood obesity.
“It’s about that time when New Year’s resolutions get a bit harder to stick to,” she tweeted and continued to say, “To offer a little inspiration, I want to share my go-to #WorkoutPlaylist with you. These songs always seem to give me that extra boost to get through my toughest workouts. What’s on your playlist?”

With a whole lot of Beyonce, the playlist also features some Cardi B, a few tracks by Calvin Harris and some Ed Sheeran, along with Bruno Mars, Lizzo and Kanye West. The cool-down section features tracks by Frank Ocean, Sam Smith, and Daniel Caesar.
Spotify was quick to compile the playlist and here it is to get you all fired up for that next workout!
