Nostalgix “Power”: A Bold Start to 2025
Nostalgix is making waves as 2025 begins, unveiling her latest single and music video, “Power,” featuring Bipolar Sunshine. Released on January 10th via Dim Mak, this bass house anthem cements her dominance in the electronic music scene. With distorted bass hits, an electrifying melody, and a standout topline, “Power” exemplifies Nostalgix’s signature style.
A Continuation of a Sonic Journey
Following the success of “Don’t Keep Me Waiting” and “Show Me Love,” “Power” serves as the final chapter in Nostalgix’s trilogy of self-discovery. The accompanying music video, directed by Nostalgix herself, ties all three releases together. Featuring the same retro Mercedes seen in “Show Me Love,” the video tells a transformative story of overcoming darkness and embracing personal strength.
Nostalgix on “Power”
In Nostalgix’s own words, “‘Power’ truly captures the growth and transformation I was experiencing in my life at the time. When I was making ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting’ and ‘Show Me Love,’ I was going through a very dark period in my life. ‘Power’ felt like the moment where I was stepping into my true self and embracing strength.”
She added, “The music video for ‘Power’ is by far my favorite I’ve directed yet. Huge thanks to Giovanni Carbajal for bringing my vision to life. Fun fact: If you watch the videos for ‘Don’t Keep Me Waiting,’ ‘Show Me Love,’ and ‘Power’ back-to-back, you’ll see a beautiful storyline and hidden messages.”
A Visual and Sonic Masterpiece
The “Power” video is a testament to Nostalgix’s creative prowess. The storyline’s progression—from the struggles in “Don’t Keep Me Waiting” to the enlightenment in “Power”—mirrors her personal growth. Bipolar Sunshine’s soulful vocals elevate the track, blending perfectly with Nostalgix’s high-energy beats.
