The celebrated Renaissance Records unveil the captivating ‘Corona’ EP from rising techno artist ARMEE.
ARMEE is an exciting talent hailing from Colombia and now based in Australia. He delivers melodic techno in its purest form with beautiful, yet strong, harmonies which cross-genre divides. ‘Corona’ and ‘Discovery’ present deep, infectious beats which keep on building throughout. Both are highly accomplished and are set to feature strongly in headline sets across big stages over the coming months.
ARMEE is a thrilling addition to the Renaissance family, following the acclaimed single ‘Cold Lights’ from another South American techno artist, Brazil’s BLANCAh, released in July. Renaissance has a proud heritage of discovering and nurturing rising talent. Their hugely successful The ReMix Collection series has helped to create a platform to promote emerging producers.
Renaissance’s Geoff Oakes says: “For Renaissance, and the industry as a whole, it’s essential to get behind talented new artists such as ARMEE and BLANCAh and It was always our plan to re-establish the label through our recent series of high-profile remixes, to give us a strong platform to showcase what we believe are the best emerging producers and DJs. We discovered ARMEE from an Instagram clip of him playing ‘Corona’ in a club. He’s a huge talent and it goes to show that if you look hard enough there are artists out there to get excited about.”
