To say 2023 was a breakout year for Schak may be an understatement.
Releasing his debut single in October ‘22 on Patrick Topping’s TRICK label, backed by UK dance music institution Ministry of Sound Records, Schak went from an unknown producer to one of the year’s biggest success stories.
Clocking up thousands of radio plays, millions of streams and peaking at #46 in the UK charts, Moving All Around (Jumping) was an anthem that led to Schak’s explosion onto the scene.
Mixmag invited Schak to perform at their Mixmag LAB live stream and named him one of their breakout DJs of the year, Amazon Music had him represent the best of the UK alongside Ammara and A Little Sound as part of their DJ Mag HQ takeover, Calvin Harris proclaimed his UK #1 hit with Ellie Goulding, Miracle, was inspired by Moving All Around (Jumping) and invited Schak to open for him in Ibiza, while Newcastle United had him perform at St James Park during the Carabao Cup.
More recently, the North Shields DJ and producer rounded off his breakout year with his biggest show to date. The sold out hometown headline event at NX in Newcastle, curated by Schak himself, saw him deliver a performance fuelled with love, unity and his own unique style of house music alongside Kimmic, Danny Bond and Ellie Scougall.
Clearly not a lad to rest on his laurels, Shakeil Luciano, otherwise known as Schak, is already storming into 2024 with ‘Got No Money’ Ft. Vula, potentially his biggest release yet.
‘Got No Money’ thunders through the speakers with an uptempo, euphoric take on house music that Schak, Patrick Topping and many others have been hammering on dancefloors across the globe. Joyous vocals from Vula, which sit effortlessly on the pounding club instrumental, give the record a catchy touch of class that almost guarantees you’ll want to spin it again as soon as it’s finished.
