Catching a break after winning a Beatport remix contest in 2012 with his dubstep-focused version of Above & Beyond’s “You Got To Go”, Seven Lions, born Jeff Montalvo, garnered support from the likes of Anjunabeats, Casablanca, OWSLA, Viper Recordings, Republic Records, and Monstercat over the past ten years.

After releasing on a plethora of labels, Seven Lions founded Ophelia Records in 2018 which has since become a leading independent label in the melodic bass subgenre. Gem & Tauri bring an unfound charisma and chemistry to their performances with a groovy blend of tech, deep and progressive house. Under the wing of the musical legend, Seven Lions, they went to work on their first EP, All You Need, to bring beautiful melodic vocals with groovy bass lines and feel good sounds.

With the help of Trivecta’s fine-tuned production, the duo released their followup standalone single and collab, Hear My Call, featuring uplifting songwriting by Tyler Graves with four-on-the-floor energy. After multiple successful releases on Ophelia Records, the duo released their remix of Mitis’, Back To Me, to stamp their signature house sound on the label.

In 2021, Gem & Tauri headlined a sold out show at The Midway and EOS Lounge, and followed up with a sold out Seven Lions show at Red Rocks and Chronicles III at the historic Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington. The duo are currently preparing for a lively 2022 festival season and headlining club tour.
